All members within the working group agree that the intellectual property protection of approved IEEE benchmark test cases is covered by the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Public License.
Where necessary, individual companies should provide additional legal protection for the test cases submitted to the IEEE EM benchmark working group. The working group acts as a facilitator for shared technical knowledge within established legal boundaries.
Simulations and data are provided by colleagues in industry and academia for open use as a service to the community. Applicability depends on each user’s specific application and design requirements. Users are encouraged to verify results against their own modeling environments.
